Market101 Review

WARNING: Our recent unsatisfactory dealings with this company suggest that it is advisable that traders use an abundance of Caution and extra Due Diligence when dealing with them. There are many other trustworthy brokers listed on our site, who offer better trading terms - you may find them a better choice.

Market101 is a very new offshore broker (launched in 2024) based in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines. It pitches itself as a tech-focused, high leverage offshore broker that even welcomes U.S. traders - a rarity for overseas brokers - thanks to its unregulated setup. In practice, the signup is extremely streamlined (no minimum deposit required) and has zero KYC required to open an account and start trading. The broker also offers social/copy trading features and supports multiple account currencies (USD, EUR, CAD, BTC, ETH) to suit a global client base.

Market101 offers 2 types of trading platforms. The flagship is Market101 MTX4 (a rebranded MT4), available on desktop and mobile, plus the proprietary Market101 ACT Trader on desktop, iOS/Android, and WebTrader. (API access is also offered for automated trading.). Through these platforms, traders have access to a moderate number of trading assets - 61 forex pairs, 14 indices, 11 metals, 21 crypto pairs, and 3 commodity contracts.

Market101 offers three live account types, each designed to suit different trading needs and each available on either trading platform:

  • Classic Account: Requires a minimum deposit of $50, spreads from 1.2 pips, zero commission charges, and leverage of up to 1:1000.
  • Raw ECN Account: Requires a minimum deposit of $50, spreads from 0.0 pips, commission of $3 per $100, 000 traded, and leverage of up to 1:1000.
  • VIP Raw ECN Account: Requires a minimum deposit of $5, 000, spreads from 0.0 pips, commission of $1 per $100, 000 traded, and leverage of up to 1:1000.

Funding is handled entirely via cryptocurrency. Clients deposit and withdraw in Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, USDC, and USDT - no bank wires, cards or digital wallets are offered. Market101 does not charge any deposit fees (though standard blockchain or network fees apply), and it boasts a “0% funding fee” on crypto. Withdrawals are usually processed within 24 hours.

Security features include negative balance protection (so you can’t lose more than your account balance) and two factor authentication on withdrawals. Customer support is available 24/5 by email and live chat (with phone support during weekday office hours), and the client portal includes handy tools like an economic calendar, news feed, an all-in-one trading calculator, and FX heat maps for analysis.

Some Potential drawbacks to be aware of:

  • Withdrawal speed: While 24-hour processing is not terrible, many brokers offer substantially quicker withdrawals, particularly brokers solely using crypto funding.
  • Unregulated broker: Market101 is registered offshore in St. Vincent (no major license). This enables its no-KYC, U.S.-friendly policy and super-high leverage, but it also means there’s no regulator backing or segregated fund protection.
  • Limited account options: There are three account types and they do not offer Islamic/swap-free accounts.
  • Legal disclosure: Some important legal documents (terms of business, client agreement, etc.) aren’t readily accessible – links for these on the site appear broken or missing and there aren’t any in the client portal.

In summary, Market101 offers a straightforward, crypto-centric trading environment with a decent choice of platforms and a generous global acceptance of clients (even from the U.S.). It shines in ease of use -> signup is fast, there’s no KYC hassle, and spreads can be very tight. However, the flip side of its offshore status is the lack of regulatory oversight (no regulation), which means traders must be comfortable with the extra risk. For experienced traders chasing anonymous, high-leverage trading, Market101 may be an attractive option. Beginners, or those who need tight regulatory protections (and swap-free options), should proceed more cautiously.
